Elise has been salsa dancing for 3 years, adding this to her many years of jazz training. She keeps up jazz classes- in great part to keep in shape- and has become a master spinner on the salsa floor because of her training (her partners expect no less than 3 consecutive spins, but are used to 6!). She has also trained and competed in International Latin Ballroom, which required extensive study of Rumba, Cha Cha, Samba, Jive, and Paso Doble.

After little over a year's experience in salsa, Elise shot up to the final round of the Mayan Theatre's Salsa competition-at the Professional level!

If Elise is not teaching or performing in salsa- she can be found at the hospital…where she is a full-time Doctor! She is a Family Medicine Doctor and is a UCLA Medical School graduate.
