| | | | Posted By: H. Miller | I am writing this letter to express my great appreciation for my Salsa teacher, Tenia. I have been taking salsa lessons from her for over 6 years and she is my favorite and most inspiring instructor to date. I have taken many, many instructors and I know for a fact that she is the best and most student friendly instructor around.
When I began taking classes with her through the South Bay Adult School, it was a life enhancing experience. She was both extremely knowledgeable and experienced in the Salsa dance world. Tenia's patience and ability to connect with her students is incredible. She inspires her students to experience Salsa in the most positive light. Her classes are places where people can come together and feel supported in their dancing goals. She provides a very social setting where everyone is encouraged to be the best that they can be.
Tenia's dedication and devotion to her students is unmatched by any other dance instructor I have ever taken. I am very grateful that I have had the privilege to be one of her many happy students.

| Beautiful Tenia | | | Posted By: A. Celeste | Beautiful Tenia,
I am in awe of your performance, choreography and dance skills. You are totally gorgeous and so incredibly sexy. I wish I could have half of what you've got! ;)
I've been practicing the routine a little bit every night and so far, so good. I remember all the choreography and have been in sync with the right musical parts, I think you'll be proud (I hope!).
Thank you so much again for all your help and encouragement, I can't wait to perform this and really own it.

| The video quality and ease of use is outstanding | | | Posted By: Salserosonline.com Review | The video quality and ease of use is outstanding. The ladies styling by Tenia is a real plus, and sets it apart from other Beginner level videos. they have really put their own spin on these moves and every step presented here is a beautiful set of moves. I can honestly say that I got something out of every combination they presented.
There are all kinds of wraps, lady swivels, some shine work for both partners, and a really cool Tango dip at the end. Most Intermediate to Advanced dancers will love the combinations here.
There are also 2 dance demonstrations: one on top of a building, and one at a club. Both again demonstrate the high quality of Raul & Tenia’s dancing. They make a great dance & teaching couple and compliment each other wonderfully.

| | | | Posted By: A. Campbell | I started taking classes from Tenia in August of 2007, and have found them to be lots of fun, excellent learning opportunity and a wonderful exercise.
Tenia gears her classes to her students level, starting with the beginner level, but quickly pushing the students to more advanced levels, while making sure that everyone can follow the steps and enjoy the class. She gives lots of personal attention to all the students, and her upbeat and sparkling personality make the classes so much fun! I usually find the breaks between the classes (like Winter break), way too long, and so much look forward to the next session.
She provides additional information to anyone who wants to do salsa dancing in addition to the class dancing, by letting students know about upcoming events, and encouraging them to go to clubs and practice the skills they learn in class. She will stay after the class to go over the steps if anyone needs additional time. Tenia is absolutely great!

| | | | Posted By: A. Moniz | A couple years ago, I decided to take a Salsa Dance Class at the South Bay Adult School-Mira Costa Campus. When the teacher, Ms. Tenia Worick, entered the venue and started to teach the class, it was as though a breath of fresh air came and descended into the classroom. Tenia is a happy, joy filled, extremely talented young dancer! On the dance floor she makes the impossible seem possible! She lives for her students! It is with great pleasure that I write this testimonial.
I continue to take classes from Tenia, when I can, at the many locations she teaches: Manhattan Beach, Redondo and El Segundo. Salsa is a difficult dance with many intricate moves and it takes time and practice. I have taken my wife, three daughters and many other friends to her classes, and all have left very impressed. She breaks down the dance steps and patiently and joyfully teaches her students. We come in lacking the confidence and walk out “dancing” with the self assurance that we CAN do it.
Tenia brings joy to a work-centered, over-worked South Bay community. Her dance classes are a good respite from the pressures of daily living and the students always leave happier after her classes. She helps couples come closer. There aren’t too many things that bring so many people together and help make life long friendships. Tenia is a rare gem.

| | | | Posted By: S. Leonard | I have known Tenia for approximately 10 years. As a salsa instructor I must say, she is one of the best instructors I’ve had. Over the course of 10 years I have taken classes with Tenia and I have even tried different instructors to see what’s available. I always come back to Tenia. Here’s why, she has such a warm and inviting personality, not to mention she can dance. I find she teaches salsa in a way that I was able to pick it up faster than with other instructors. She is a tireless worker, who would still try to teach us how to salsa while ready to deliver a baby. She is always cheerful and very dependable. What more could you ask of an instructor.
I have followed Tenia to all the locations where she has taught, even if it's not near my house, because her classes are worth it.
She is truly a gem

| | | | Posted By: Alon | I have been avidly dancing Salsa for nearly half a decade. During the last 3 years of my experience, I have generally been dancing at the "advanced" level, and I keep on going, even to "intermediate" level sessions. I must tell you that you are one of the best instructors -whose Salsa classes I have had the pleasure to attend. I have nothing to gain by telling you all this, but I am doing so because I want to support your efforts, and because I want to help to preserve your place in the world of fun and pursuit of happiness.
Tenia, there are several factors which clearly set you apart from different Salsa dancers and instructors with whom I have been acquainted: First, your instruction style is detail-oriented, and you do a great job breaking the moves down into simple steps. This statement may sound trivial at first; however, in my experience, it is a rare talent for anyone to be able to explain the breakdown of moves in the way you do. In other words, many great dancers do not necessarily make good teachers. Most instructors I have seen tend to overlook or skip important aspects during their teaching, and therefore lose their Salsa students early on. Your personal teaching style makes it feasible for Salsa students to really pick up the dancing foundation and have something to practice. As for the more advanced Salsa, I like how you pay attention to the comfort partners need to create when implementing intricate moves.
Second, you are always very organized and have a definite plan for the moves you are going to teach. I have previously been in classes where I felt like the instructor was making up the lessons during the actual class time. The reason it is important to have a complete plan is because you are not spending the students' valuable time trying to figure out what is coming next. This also makes sure that you are selecting moves that are practical in the first place. You have always planned slick moves that make your students look good when they are dancing. Those are some smooth moves!
Third, I am amazed by your choice of Salsa music, especially since I am such a picky person. You select songs that are very good, and you also make sure they will be at the right pace for your lessons. It is difficult to be able to incorporate such a compendious variety of songs, including popular titles and modern hits, and still not overplay them. Fourth, you have a unique approach in your classes, which quickly show how personable you are. Even though you are a great dancer you have not allowed your success to inflate your ego needlessly. Many instructors that I have met seem to have such an "enlarged ego," and it begins to hinder their instructional ability because it sometimes stands in the way of being open with their students.
Tenia, your honesty and dedicated personality come through in your classes, and it makes all your students that much more secure and confident in themselves while they are learning how to Salsa. Thank you for your dedication, because it really keeps us going!

| Tenia is simply THE best salsa instructor I’ve eve | | | Posted By: G. Tabitha | Tenia is simply THE best salsa instructor I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen about 12-15. Besides being an amazing and beautiful dancer, she’s very gifted in teaching, which is rare among good dancers. She is extremely patient and takes every question seriously. She’s excellent at breaking down a complicated move into smaller pieces and explaining each piece with as much technical detail as you want. After a couple years of taking lessons here and there, and not really learning much, I finally discovered Tenia. After just a few months of taking her classes, my friends started noticing a big improvement in my dancing and I finally got over my fear of dancing in clubs. Not only will you learn a lot in her classes, but you will also have fun.
Ladies, Tenia always adds just the right amount of styling to make even the simple moves look sexy. And for those slightly racy combinations, only Tenia knows how to teach them so that it doesn’t feel awkward when you’re trying it out with a stranger. Her professional attitude and sense of humor make it all a very comfortable and fun experience for everyone. I have gotten over a handful of my friends to try out her classes, and they’re all hooked now. That’s no surprise!
